Laura Szumowski received her BFA degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2006, with a concentration in graphic books. In 2005, Laura completed an internship with Chicago-based graphic novelist Paul Hornschemeier, and has assisted Paul in coloring the series "Omega Man of Mystery" for Marvel comics. From 2007 to 2008, Laura also interned at Black Hole Press, where she practiced screen printing.
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Laura currently resides in Chicago with her tiny steeds, Jasper and Twinkie.
